Anyway, we have our Christmas tree up and it's a good thing we have the slightly lower living room to give our Christmas Tree Angel some space up by the ceiling. The remote to the lights doesn't really work any more, so Dad hooked up the lights to the light switch or something, so I can't use a remote any more to decide whether or not I want the colored lights on with the white lights...and I have my own little Christmas tree. It's tiny and I'm allowed to decorate it any way I want. Grandma Lee got it for me a couple years ago because I get annoyed at how all the mismatching random "made when someone was 3" ornaments clutter up the big tree. So I can decorate mine with small gold ornaments in the shapes of teddy bears, angels, etc., and little baubles, and tiny red velvet bows. I even have an adorable gold star to go on top! I love our Christmas trees.
Thomas has been drumming SO MUCH lately. I've seen him playing on 5 different "drum sets", four of them he made himself:
- His first-ever "drum set", made out of play drums and music things, big lego blocks, and other things that made a sound in his room, and it's always there for him to bang on if he doesn't want to go all the way down to the basement to his real one.
- This one is a real drum set, tucked away in a corner of the basement that just happens to be under the dining room. I haven't ever really looked at it, but all I know is that it has a lot of stuff that make LOUD ANNOYING noises.
- When Rob and Ang came over, we got out the baby toys for Rosie. Thomas took the little stacking toys and rattles and bells etc. and lined them up in neat drumming rows. Then he banged all over it with his hands. This was actually one of his quieter sets, though it was created in the living room, it was much better than the next one.
- When the Christmas stuff was unpacked, metal tins and assorted boxes came out, which apparently made wonderful cymbals and bass drums and snare drums when combined with the food storage cans. He stationed this one in the kitchen, and it makes a TON of noise, especially the metal stuff.
- One day Thomas got bored. So he went around looking for someone to tease. He saw me, admiring the shiny baubles on the Christmas tree. The whacked them and other [very noisy] ornaments together. Then, bored of having to run around the tree to get different sounds, he gathered up glass balls, wooden bells, jingly stuff, and ornaments that made a good loud sound when he hit them. Putting them all smushed together, he drummed all over them, making a surprising amount of noise.
So...that's that. I am really annoyed at school. I'm not sure why -- I don't actually feel that terrible when I'm at school -- but when I get home it sets a sour mood on the rest of my day and it seems like school was absolutely HORRIBLE! Not sure why...
AnYwAyS, I'm just tired. So...goodnight.

Sounds like it's time for you to send Thomas over to live with us for awhile. We don't have nearly enough noise around here. HA! Actually, if Thomas came and started drumming maybe we wouldn't have to listen to Aaron quite so much. Aaron, who loves to tell us everything about 45 times and expects us to act like we had never heard of or thought about what he is saying before. It's cute, the first two or three times. After that I'd rather listen to someone banging on my pots and pans. :)
* one more drum... HIS LAP!!!
Just to let you know, school is ALWAYS horrible. You just have to get through it! Sorry! Love you!
